A professional in every sense of the word, Nalinda plays a pivotal role in the leadership group of Servespins. For some, he’s a skilful cricketer who has played the Premier League in Oman and Division 1 in Sri Lanka. For us he’s a Master QS who continues to lift us to new heights with his exclusive skill set, unyielding work ethic and inspiring leadership.

As his track record would prove, Nalinda’s areas of expertise are wide-ranging – Namely, Civil Engineering, Contract Management, Facilities Administration, Value Engineering, Strategic Planning & Analysis, Project & Site Management, Cost & Variance Analysis, Subcontractor Management, Tender Documentation, Electrical Engineering, Cash Flow Optimisation, Financial Reporting, Staff Leadership, Material Procurement and Mechanical Engineering. Two decades worth of Industry exposure in Oman speaks for his accomplishments in developing a commercial strategy, agreement of variations, concluding final accounts and preparing of financial reports. He is a natural when it comes to providing the executive team with targeted strategic plans, interacting effectively with all levels of the organisation and delivering leadership to multidisciplinary teams.

Nalinda’s education is multifaceted. BSC – Quantity Surveying & Construction Management – University of Sheffield Hallam, UK, Diploma in Surveying Practice (DipSp) – College of Estate Management, UK and National Certificate in Technology in Quantity Surveying – Technical College, Sri Lanka are among the qualifications he has obtained. Furthermore, he has familiarized himself with professional standards such as Method of Measurements: Building Works: SMM7, POM (International), Civil Engineering Works: CESMM, Condition of Contract: FIDIC Red Book, Standard Documents for Building and Civil Engineering Works, Sultanate of Oman, and Standard Form of Building Contract; JCT 98.

For most part of his career, Nalinda has been leading all aspects of construction project operations related to quantity surveying within high-profile organisations including Royal Court Affairs, Oman, Majan Engineering Consultants, Oman, and Carillion Alawi LLC, Oman where he oversaw projects ranging from restoring historic Forts to constructing Palaces, Grand Mosques and Olympic Standard Stadiums.
